Peder Walberg


Peder was previously Head of Business Development and Strategy at Swedish Orphan Biovitrum and Swedish Orphan International, responsible for the company’s successful portfolio expansion as well as corporate strategy. Peder has a background as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, focusing primarily on the life sciences sector, and has also served as Head of Business Development and New Products at Novartis Nordic. Peder is a registered physician with an MD from Uppsala University and also holds a BA in International Economics and Business Administration from the same university.

Julia Grahn

Finance and Logistics Manager

Julia Grahn is the Finance & Logistics Manager at Medical Need. Before joining Medical Need Julia has been working as an Auditor at Grant Thornton. Julia holds a degree of Master of Science in Business and Economics from Lulea University of Technology.

Lia Uppfeldt

Director Regulatory & Quality Assurance

Lia started her career at the Swedish Medicinal Products Agency, but since 2003 she has been in the pharmaceutical industry within the field of regulatory affairs and quality assurance. Lia has regulatory experience from approvals of centralized procedures, DCPs, MRPs, national applications as well as orphan and unlicensed products on the European market. Prior to joining Medical Need, Lia was Director Regulatory Affairs at Medivir AB where she was accountable for the regulatory strategies and operations of the company’s marketed products including the successful launch of several EMA approved products in the Nordic countries. Lia holds a M Sc Pharm from the University of Uppsala and is the Medical Need Responsible Person for GDP.

Susanne Franchi

Communication Manager

Susanne has managed logistics, communication and customer service at Medical Need since 2011 and has a background in project managing in communication and in customer service. From 2017 her focus is communication. Prior to this position at MNE Susanne was at Centre for business and policy studies (SNS) where she was responsible for educational programs, forums and networks in the area of Economic politics.

Tomas Gloveus

Director Sales and Marketing

Tomas has a broad experience in sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals in Europe as well as in in emerging markets. Most recently, Tomas served as Country Manager Sweden for Genzyme and previously established Celgene in the Nordic area. Tomas also headed Orion Pharma in Northern Europe as well as Aventis/RPR in Sweden and English speaking Africa. Tomas has worked in a variety of therapeutic areas, including different Rare Disorders, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology and many others. Tomas has pre-launched, launched and re-launched many products in many countries. Tomas holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Linköping.
